Sligo County Community Forum and Claire Galligan are hosting a ‘community exchange and training day’  on September 16th in Sligo.   The purpose of the day is to hear examples of good practice in building equal and vibrant communities and to avail of the training sessions on offer.  The training sessions will cover: 

1.  Facilitative Leadership – Interaction institute for Social Change

2.  Human Rights Based Approaches – Community Action Network

3.  Tools for Change – Supporting the engagement of migrants in communities

Key note speakers include:  Renee Crawford and Jean Brown from Suffolk Lenadoon Regeneration Project; Issah Huseine from New Communities Partnership; Sligo Travellers Support Group Toy Box Project and Alice Griffin from The Disability Equality Specialist Support Agency. 

Everyone is welcome.  The day is free, however places will be limited.
